PU Ether foam types
offer:
- an open-cell structure ranging from PPI 10 to PPI 60
- resistance to water and aqueous liquids
- comparatively high resistance to acids and alkalis
- resistance to ozone and oxygen
- moderate resistance to UV radiation (yellowing, which has no effect on its physical properties)
Our ether-based filter foams are extremely hydrolysis-stable and offer a high degree of homogeneity. Our range extends from fine- to medium- and coarse-celled, reticulated foams for a wide variety of applications in water filtration, aquariums and small-scale sewage treatment plants. Due to the very high internal and external surface area of our filter foam products, significantly more bacteria can colonise them compared to other filter materials, thereby breaking down water contaminants biologically.
Applications:
- filters in garden ponds and aquarium pumps
- wastewater treatment in small-scale sewage treatment plants, car washes and cruise ships
- droplet separators in industrial plants
- air humidifiers, some of which are impregnated or made from flocked foam
