Cellular Rubber

elastic, closed-cell foam made from synthetic or natural rubber. It offers outstanding sealing and insulating properties. Due to its high flexibility and temperature resistance, cellular rubber is frequently used in HVAC and mechanical engineering. It is also resistant to many chemicals and provides a reliable seal against air and water.

Properties:

  • Excellent sealing performance
  • High temperature resistance (typically: –40 °C to +120 °C)
  • Flexible and durable
  • High insulation properties (thermal, acoustic, vibration)
  • Water-repellent due to closed-cell structure
  • Weather- and age-resistant (depending on the type of rubber; e.g., EPDM is particularly UV-resistant)
