Filter Media

In addition to nonwoven fabrics, which are used in air and water filtration, we at HP FOAM process open-cell polyurethane foam for further filtration applications. These pore-controlled, open-cell foams are used in applications such as gas or liquid filters. Depending on the medium that needs to be filtered, a polyester or polyether filter foam is selected, as the material must be compatible with the filtration medium.

The filtration principle of the filter foam works similarly to a sieve: The foam is used to filter solids out of a gas or liquid stream.

The medium flows through the filter foam, and particles are retained on the struts of the filter foam (adsorption behaviour). In this process, particles larger than the cells of the filter foam are retained.

Thanks to our expertise and the ability to control the pore size, we are able to supply the appropriate filter foam for your application.
