Composite Foam (Rebond Foam)
consists of recycled foam scraps that are bonded under pressure to form a solid material. This results in a particularly durable and resilient high-density foam. It is primarily used in applications requiring high compressive strength and durability, such as in upholstery, sports equipment or as impact sound insulation.
Properties:
- Very high load-bearing capacity
- Sustainable due to recycled content
- Good sound insulation
- Dimensional stability thanks to a firmer backing layer
- Durable
- Good pressure distribution and shock absorption
- Thermal and acoustic insulation depending on the layer material
- Lightweight and flexible
